An original from Three Second Delay - "Breach"

Hal Lesesne commented in my last blog post that no band is going to make the bigtime by playing cover tunes.  I wholeheartedly agree!  So here's one of their originals, recorded a couple of nights ago in their cozy practice space in Tempe:

(500 kbps stream.  You can also download it here.)

The wall is painted with the word "Uncovered" because that was the name of a contest they entered last year put on by the local WB station.  They were fortunate to win it, landing $75K worth of studio recording time and other promotions.

What do you guys think of their music?

Wow, they really do have a great sound. Love the song.

I click on the button, and yet I do not rock . . . unless I am using IE. Does that mean that you think Firefox users are stodgy and non-rockable? 2/24/2006 4:42 AM | Anne

Thanks for the catch, sis! And what's this, for some reason you use Firefox as a browser?!? :)

Strange that the playback interface shows up properly in the browser, but when clicking there's no streaming, it grabs the full 12 meg file, but never starts playing. I'll have to check out what I'm doing wrong with my <embed> tag, and hopefully thereby include the other 15% of surfers out there. Either that or write a quick browser detect to hide the <object> tag altogether for anything Mozilla, and then instead show a more prominent link for those folks.

While the stream are staggered, the sound was clear. Excellent sound. I hope it gets more playtime. 2/25/2006 3:30 AM | John

It does sound good. Do they have any other promotional sites, myspace, or otherwise? 4/4/2006 12:16 PM | Scott Cate

Here's their myspace site:

(or click on my name above on this comment to take you there.)

They may be able to jam for us for a couple hours during lunch at Desert Code Camp. But their drummer has accepted a year-long contract to be a part of the house band for Barcelona in Scottsdale. So if they do end up playing then I might end up being the one at the kit! (If it happens then a quick request for everyone: even though I'm not as good as Aaron, please don't throw any rotten vegetables my way!)
