OK, this post is not going to have much geek factor at all.  But it's still fun nonetheless, so read on, and definitely watch the video below!

For over ten years my brother Jonathan's dream has been to be in a really good rock and roll band.  He's played lots of gigs with lots of people, and has written some truly excellent compositions along the way, but so far things haven't ever “clicked” in just the right way.  Finally it looks like that might be changing.  A couple months ago he hooked up with a great band that needed a bassist, and they're blending really well.  Here's a small sample from their second show, a little over a month ago at Sugar Daddy's in Scottsdale, Arizona:

Sing along if you're so inclined!

My brother is the one playing the bass guitar to the right of the singer.  Mega-talented musical maniac if you ask me.  After the first set the owner of the place came out and asked them to come back on St. Patrick's day for double the money.  They agreed, so you can see them Friday March 17th at that same venue if you're in the Phoenix area.  (3102 N Scottsdale Rd.)

Great song... But do you really think that they will hit it big covering the Grateful Dead? I'd love to hear some original stuff. They really do have a great sound - although I have a hard time distinguishing them from the Black Crowes :-), which I would love to do.

3 Second Delay used to be "Lightyear", a band that had been around for close to 10 years with no record deal. 90% of their shows were/are now filled with covers - they are a bar band, plain and simple. They were the WB band of the year for 2005 however...a tremendous honor only shared by such legends as The Beatles, and The Rolling Stones. 4/12/2006 11:43 AM | Anonymous

Perhaps you should ask the "Mega-talented music maniac" how many band members they have gone through in the last 10 years because of his "Mega-ego".....tell your brother good luck...he will need it. 4/21/2006 2:40 PM | N/A
