Google's official position on GoogleBombing is apparently this:
"Pranks like this may be distracting to some, but they don't affect the overall quality of our search service, whose objectivity, as always, remains the core of our mission."
If the "overall quality" of a search service is the "core of [their] mission", doesn't it make sense to determine when a GoogleBomb is taking place, and if one is actually taking place, and tainting the results of the search service, put an end to it? If a system has complete integrity, doesn't allowing a flaw in the system diminish the integrity of the system.
I think Google's got its head up it's butt on this one.
