Wisconsin's Senate has FINALLY voted to repeal the automatic gas tax hike today. Now, it will go to the Assembly, and then probably be vetoed by Gov. Doyle (Big Surprise).
If Doyle knew what was good for him, he'd pass this thing. It's a winner.
It's not so much that the gas tax increase is big every year, it's the automatic part that gets me. I'm not sure it rises to the level of "Taxation without representation" that some have claimed, but it's sure close.
