After seeing that some of my friends get fancy customized pictures for their Facebook and Twitter profiles I thought it would be cool to get one too. But not for me – for my wife. You see, she currently works as IT Security Officer (the best I know btw.) but earlier when she started as security auditor and she worked as part of the “tiger team”, she often said she wants her picture like the movie poster from "Men in Black”. So this is what I had in mind: Given the upcoming Valentine’s Day it occurred ......

Yesterday I was pleasantly surprised by receiving email from David Silverlight that I had won 4th prize in Community Credit October 2008 Contest. The prize I won is the awesome Electronic Drum-Kit T-Shirt that you can hit with your finder to play drum sounds. I think it would totally rock combined with the Equalizer T-Shirt I got from my lovely wife some time ago. The Community Credit awards are presented for community related activities that you submit during a month. For each activity you receive ......

Honestly, I still don't know how I did it. The LAB49 WPF in Finance Innovation Contest was announced back in December and I think I first read about it on Tim Sneath blog. With all the cool prizes I was very inclined to participate, but it quickly turned out that its available only to US citizens. However that changed in the first week of February, so I started considering it again, but still didn't had any clue what to do. You see the goal of this contest was to create a WPF application that visualizes ......

This weekend I'm flaying over to Bulgaria to attend the DevReach 2007 conference, "the Premier event for Microsoft developers on the Balkans". I've never been on any conference outside Poland, and I really look forward to see sessions from such great speakers like Carl Franklin, Richard Campbell, Stephen Forte, and last but not least my boss, Tim Huckaby. If you like to see some very cool projects that we are doing at InterKnowlogy then don't miss his keynote. Who else is coming? If you'd like to ......

Usually I don't write about my current employer or work, but I think this time it deserves to make an exception. You read already it in the title: I work now on The Collective Molecular Environment (C-ME) for The Scripps Research Institute (TSRI). If you are following the news on Windows Vista or WPF you have probably seen this application already (the screen on the right might remind it to you). The Scripps Research Institute is a biomedical research organization that is trying to find a cure for ......

Here are some photos from my vacations in Turkey. So far it's great here althought we haven't been on any trips yet. Enjoy! This album is powered by BubbleShare - Add to my blog Updated 9/8/2006: Just uploaded new photos. We've seen some antic ruins in Phaselis and planing more trips. Stay tuned ......

Next two weeks I will be spending in Kemer, Turkey enjoying great vacations with my family. Because we are going all three including our little boy we might don't get a chance to travel a lot and will spend more time in the hotel. But I hope to make few short trips. I've never been so far East before and I'm curious of this culture. This also means that I will be offline for two weeks(at least thats the plan). Therefore please be patient if I won't answer your emails right away. PS to Tim: I still ......

After listening to recent HanselMinutes show on Life Hacks I've got myself a Moleskine Pocket Notebook today. If you never heard of this it's a small (9 x 14 cm), lightweight notebook that fits perfectly in your pocket so you can carry it around. It also features a foldable pocket in the back cover, a cloth ribbon attached to the spine to serve as a bookmark, and a woven elastic band attached to the back to keep the book closed when not in use. To be honest I'm really bad at being organized. I tend ......

I just got a new laptop, so I had to spent whole weekend reinstalling everything instead of doing something productive. Surprisingly it was more then a year and a half since I did that last time despite all the software I tend to keep together. Does that mean software got better in playing nice to one another these days? In the process I've made a list of what I need to have installed, so in case you might be interested what I use in my day-to-day work, here it is: MSN Messanger 8.0 Beta Skype 2.0 ......
