Just a small note: If you are looking for a free defragmentation tool for Windows XP I recommend the Auslogics Disk Defrag (if you want to spent few bucks take a look at O&O Defrag instead). It's really simple to use, and seems to be more efficient then built-in defragmenter. It didn't defragment some large files I have on my disk, but this might be due to insufficient free space. Anyway give it a try or let me know if you find a better alternative.
