Apple
iPhone 5s and 5c
So the next version of iPhone was finally announced on the 10th of September. Apple's marketing strategy seems to be about repackaging existing technology in a way that entice people to buy their products. In the previous iPhones there was a big push on Siri, the voice control function. It wasn't something you need for a phone but Apple made users think its a useful function your phone should have, I doubt many people use Siri after they have bought an iPhone. Now comes fingerprint sensor to unlock ......

Why no flash on Apple iPhone, iPad or iPod?
A good article by the man himself as to why Flash is not supported on iPhones, iPads and iPods, at http://www.apple.com/hotnew... there is also a long history between Apple and Adobe as mentioned in the book by Walter Isaacson. This could explain the resistance by Steve Jobs to Adobe Flash. Excerpt from Steve Job's Biography by Walter Isaacson'sTo make this work, the iMac needed to have great video editing software. So Jobs went to his old friends at Adobe, the digital graphics ......

MacBook AirPort and wireless router 64-bit WEP key
I spent a while trying to figure out this problem so I thought I'd post this tip to help others who may have the same issue. The problem I had was trying to connect a MacBook to a wireless router which uses 64-bit WEP key. The AirPort prompt on the Mac wasn't very helpful, giving only 3 options for WEP key (WEP Password, WEP 128 bit HEX and ASCII). I chose WEP Password and entered the 64-bit WEP HEX key and unbeknownst to me, Mac did not understand this key and cannot connect to the wireless router. ......
