Internet enabled TV - TVs with integrated internet access, app store for apps built specifically to run on full sized screen TVs...

Develop your own Augmented Reality application with Touchless
I came across this InfoWorld news article today on an open source SDK for creating multi-touch based applications using a webcam for input. Wouldn't it be cool to have this kind of application to work on your mobile phone with the built-in camera? I have played a couple of proprietary games on the mobile phone that have this kind of capability, it's nice that Microsoft CodePlex is making touchless SDK accessible to the masses. Get the SDK here: www.codeplex.com/touchless...

Windows Azure, the new Windows Cloud OS
The Windows Cloud OS called Windows Azure that had been under the code name Red dog project for a long time has been officially announced in the keynote by Ray Ozzie on the first day of the PDC in LA (27th Oct 2008). For announcements made at PDC 2008 see the following blog post: http://geekswithblogs.net/k...

The following video is an excellent showcase of Microsoft Unified Communications Technologies using RoundTable, Office Communications Server 2007, Exchange 2007, SharePoint and Office integration. Windows Vista Ultimate installation
I have finally reinstalled my Vista Ultimate to RTM after running RC1 for some time. The installation went smoothly and took less than half an hour for a clean installation with all the essential drivers without me having to go rummaging through my CD collection to find any drivers. I chose to install the Ultimate rather than Enterprise version since I plan to use Vista for both entertainment and work. The picture below which I've expertly copied from the Windows Vista magazine sums up nicely the...
