2010 Gadget of the year - Parrot AR.Drone
I'm hoping that this new remote controlled flying gadget announced at CES 2010 won't be a flop like the Sony Aibo robot dog as I can see a lot of potential for it. ......

As work has been ultra hectic this second half of 2009 I thought I'd post a non work non technical related blog to take my mind off things. Looks like one of the top films this Xmas will be Avatar by James Cameron, hopefully it will be a fitting come back and as humongous as Titanic. I always have a good laugh when I see the following clip on Titanic II The Sequel, it would be hilarious if someone did actually make a full movie similar to the likes of Hot Shots! Part Deux, I'd sure go watch it ......

MacBook AirPort and wireless router 64-bit WEP key
I spent a while trying to figure out this problem so I thought I'd post this tip to help others who may have the same issue. The problem I had was trying to connect a MacBook to a wireless router which uses 64-bit WEP key. The AirPort prompt on the Mac wasn't very helpful, giving only 3 options for WEP key (WEP Password, WEP 128 bit HEX and ASCII). I chose WEP Password and entered the 64-bit WEP HEX key and unbeknownst to me, Mac did not understand this key and cannot connect to the wireless router. ......

Windows Vista Ultimate installation
I have finally reinstalled my Vista Ultimate to RTM after running RC1 for some time. The installation went smoothly and took less than half an hour for a clean installation with all the essential drivers without me having to go rummaging through my CD collection to find any drivers. I chose to install the Ultimate rather than Enterprise version since I plan to use Vista for both entertainment and work. The picture below which I've expertly copied from the Windows Vista magazine sums up nicely the ......

Google Base to Launch
According to TechCrunch: "Google Base will be launching soon, perhaps even today. Dirson has a screen shot up on Flickr and additional images are on Wouter Schut’s blog. Google Base appears to be a service to publish content directly to google and have them host it in a centralized way. If so, this would be going completely against the accelerating trend of decentralized publishing. " ......
