PerformancePoint as a service in SharePoint

The downturn in the economy has brought about many bad news but I was pleased to hear that PPS is now going to become another service in Office 14 SharePoint. I had never liked Performance Point Server as a standalone product as I thought it was Microsoft's way of trying to generate extra revenue out of the near saturated BI - Information worker product range.
