Microsoft has just released to manufacturing the long awaited security release service pack for Windows XP (Service Pack 2) - the only place it appears to be available is on the Subscriber Downloads side of MSDN but should be widely available over the next couple of weeks - it is a pretty stiff download (just under 500Mb), especially over dial up but worth the wait. I have it installed on 4 machines with one to go and each has gone without a hitch. It is nice to see all of those 'Hot Fixes' gone...
