Venting Time
You know, right now I am so incredibly upset, I need to let some steam off. What am I so pissed about? This stupid car registration place here in Battle Ground. First of all, I couldn't go into work today because the temporary registration on our car expired this weekend (that is our fault, I know). However, when we went into the title place, their computers were “down” so they couldn't help us. Now, being a computer guy, I can somewhat sympathize with this. However, as we are leaving, ......

Chess Links
I got a request to post some of the chess links that I have come across so far. This is by no means a comprehensive collection. The amount of chess information out on the net is enormous, so you could probably find some links that I missed. Articles, Tutorials, Interviews, etc. Chess Cafe - http://www.chesscafe.com/ Chess Is Fun - http://www.princeton.edu/~j... Improving Your Chess - http://www.uschess.org/begi... Chess Camp (articles by Larry Evans) - http://www.chesscamp.net/in... ......

Are There Any Chess Fans Out There?
If there are, tune in. I've always played a chess game here and there but have never been serious about the game. However, lately, I've been getting into Chess at a deeper level than I ever did before. Not so much that I'm on a quest to become a candidate master or anything, but enough to be a serious casual amateur. I've been starting to study some games of the all-time Chess greats and there is one person right now that I can't get enough of! Paul Morphy!! Paul Morphy is definitely one of the greats. ......

Remember, There's Only 24 Hours In 1 Day, and Only 1 Life to Live
After my last post, I feel that there is something else I wish to share with everyone. If there is one primary characteristic problem with people today, it is that they try to do to much. Trust me, I can sympathize, I am the exact same way. In this quick-rich-schemin', lose-500-pounds-in-one-week... just-buy-this-one-last-gadg... paradox of a world we live in, not enough of us take the time to enjoy life. Even when we know there is a problem ......

Do You Ever Get That Burned-Out Feeling?
Since this is my blog, and I can share my personal feelings, I am going to. So, if you don't like that, shove off you tossers! Anyways, do you ever get that burned-out feeling? Like you're not that interested in what you've been doing for a while? (geez, this is kind of starting to sound like an infomercial...... let's start again). I'm getting that burned-out feeling again. You know the one. (okay, now it is sounding more like an Addicts Anonymous meeting...... let's start again). Why such the absence ......

New Addition To The Family
Hello all. I just wanted to post about the latest addition to my family. My wife and I adopted our first fir baby today. Her name is Jasmine (or just “Jazz” for short). Although the pictures are of not-so-good quality, they will show you just how cute she is. She's about 1.5 years old and is a black lab mix: We got her from the Humane Society. She was a stray and she exhibits signs that she was abused before. She's very skiddish and is scared of sudden movements. It's so sad to see such ......
