Personal | Haiti Trip Photos
My Haiti trip was amazing, I learned so much from the culture and how much love they have. I can’t really express my emotions well still because it is a major adjustment to see people living with so little and going through so much while having huge hearts, and coming back here where we have so much and worry about everything. It is a little to get used too. Imagine watching a movie with 300 kids who the majority of have never seen a movie and a few days later getting on a plane with TVs in the headrest ......

RCA | Flat Antenna Review for Over-The-Air HD/DTV
Along with the new TV we purchased, I need a new antenna for Over-The-Air HD/DTV because I absolutely hate the Trek antenna I bought last year because of it’s bulky size and lack of a strong signal. I was strolling through Lowe’s picking up some stuff for youth group and I wandered by the home audio/video section. You will be amazed sometimes by the stuff Lowe’s carries and the prices compared to Best Buy and the chains. In this case I for the RCA Flat, non-powered antenna (see picture) for around ......

Windows 7 | Installed on my HP Mini 1000 and loving it
In the spirit of most Microsoft fan boys, I installed Windows 7 Beta on one of my machines as the primary OS and am having an excellent experience. No, it is not my TouchSmart (even though that would be awesome), but my HP Mini Netbook. As most have stated, this OS is very stable (except Lou and his BSOD) and am really looking forward to the test drive. I tried reporting some bugs I saw in the basics, but didn’t have any luck with the new Send Feedback feature. Hopefully it is due to everyone submitting ......

12/31/2008 | The Day The Zune 30 Died!!!
Today Doug came in with his Zune 30 and said, “Look at my screen, this is where it has been for 30 minutes.” I was shocked cause I had never seen that before, then I looked down at mine to find it synced with the exact same screen. So my question for Microsoft is “Why?”. Doug came back to the office a few minutes later saying the Zune boards are going crazy with this happening. I have my Zune 4gb right next to it and it is still working so this must be a Zune 30 only issue, but I can not completely ......

OT | Kansas City Air Show This Weekend
I know this is a bit off topic, or am I kidding myself by assuming I have an actual topic. Anyway, today around lunch some planes were practicing for the Air Show in Kansas City and we got some awesome shots. If you are in town and the weather is acceptable, I would suggest this event. It looks like it is going to be awesome. Here are some shots I took with the D300. Thanks to Doug for driving me to the different locations again, he is the best photo driver. Personal | Truth Project Simulcast - Test Run Successful
My church, the Berean Bible Church, is one of the over 200 churches that are participating in an awesome event in September. We will be broadcasting the Focus on the Family's Truth Project training live on September 27th. The Truth Project is a small group program for Christians that goes over the biblical worldview for comparison to your worldview. I have been through the program and lead a group and I really enjoy the content. My role, along with some other guys at the church is technical maintenance ......

Photo | Amazing Jet Contrail
Doug Butscher and I were outside at the EOB today and we saw the coolest contrail (new word for me) from a jet I have seen. It steadily progressed to get more squiggly as we watched it. Check it out! It looks like someone was using a pen in the sky. Technorati Tags: Contail,Jet Vapor,Vapor Trail,Airplane,Kansas City ......

House For Sale in Olathe, KS
What else have I been up to lately? Well we are in the process of moving to Lee's Summit, MO, where our offices are located. Currently I drive 45 minutes each way every day to work and its starting to drain on me. Also, all our friends live on the Missouri side of Kansas City, so it just makes sense. If you want to move to KC or just around in KC, take a look at the property. For you GWB members, this room is where was founded. Technorati tags: Real Estate, Kansas City, Olathe, ......

News | Jeff Julian has purchased an Apple Laptop!
No the world is not ending, well I don't know if it is or isn't, but John and myself switched to MacBook Pros from our Toshibas. These machines are amazing. I have never been so excited to work with Vista. Don't worry, I am not a switcher. While I downloaded Vista Business from MSDN, I used OS X Leopard and I had the same reaction that I did with my original Apple PowerBook, "What can I do?" I was literally bored on a computer and that takes a lot. Those awesome applications they talk about on the ......
