Recording with GWB Member Tim Hibbard on Podcast Studio Tonight

Tonight we will have Tim Hibbard, from the "Where's Tim" fame, on the show talking about GPS software and where he sees his technology going. Tim has been a Geekswithblogs member for awhile as well as a great local resource to the Kansas City .NET User Group. I hope to have the show editted and published tonight.

Dude, I'm a drummer, well I own drums, does that count?

In the season of XBox 360s and iPod Videos, I wanted a set of drums. Not just any ole set of drums, electric drums so I could learn to play in the silence of my basement without disturbing Michelle or Brandon. Well Santa showed up with a set of Yamaha DTXplorer this year. Awesome, time to let the hair grow, jk. Who knows, maybe I will start musicians with blogs :D.

Billy Hollis Podcast About Smart Clients

Episode 14 finds us in a great discussion with Billy Hollis on smart clients and Visual Studio 2005!! We talk about some simple and complex scenarios, the state of data binding and some useful tips and patterns. This wouldn't be complete without ending with some thoughts on how WinFx (Windows Presentation Foundation and Windows Workflow Foundation) fits in moving forward.

New Podcast Tonight With Billy Hollis

Tuesday night we recorded a podcast with the infamous Billy Hollis, discussing smart client technologies and what makes a client smart. I will finish the editing tonight and publish it in the evening. I would have had it out yesterday, but John and I were interviewed on Michael J. Murphy's IT Heroes Show on Channel 9. This show is really entertaining and educational at the same time, so if you haven't listened to it, check it out.

I'm Geeking Out With My New Motorola RAZR V3c From Verizon

With my wife's permission, I have purchase a Motorola RAZR V3c and Motorola Bluetooth Headset from Verizon Wireless. I used to have the Samsung i600 Smartphone, but it sucked pretty bad after time. It wouldn't charge unless I used the car charger or popped the battery out, it wouldn't hang up on flip down everytime, and they are not upgrading the OS anymore so no cool features added. All of these and the lack of a camera made me decide to go with the RAZR instead. So far, I love the phone and bluetooth is a must.

Need your help with aggregation issue

If you are subscribed to this feed, you have probably noticed the duplicate post in your aggregator when it updates (but not every time). This was a problem with .Text caching the host and since we have more than one (www.geekswithblogs.net, geekswithblogs.net, and blogs.ineta.org), it became a problem. I have placed a correction to this on the server, but need you to let me know if it solved on your machine. This will probably take a few days to funnel up, but I hope what I have done fixes the issue. Thanks for your patience!

Also, if you haven't noticed, I placed paging on the homepage of Geekswithblogs.net so you can see what you missed if you didn't get the data in time.

Great Resource for the Lazy Developer

I found DotNetSlacker.com through the referrals of Podcast Studio and thought I would share the site with you. It is a great resource to anyone who doesn't want to dig around on all the communities for content, they do the work for you. If you scroll to the bottom, you will find categories so you can limit your search based on need. Here is the Podcast category where we are listed.
