A lot of buzz has been generated by the Imagine Cup in the past week, and it is getting exciting.  I hope all the teams are well prepared and will give it their all to win this.  I (along with Jason Beres) am lucky enough to be invited as a judge during this year's festivities, so I am really looking forward to the adventure.  Hopefully, on a grand scale, Jason and I can mingle with the participants, after the judging, to discuss how our group (INETA Academic) can help them with next year's competition on a global scale.  Now I have to go hit my “Brazilian Portuguese phrasebook” so I can get myself a drink and hopefully to a bathroom when needed.  I will definitely be blogging and uploading photos during the event.

Hi Jeff,

Great to know you will be here with us! I hope to see you in July!

Regarding your "Portuguese skills" to get a drink and going to bathroom, you can start with these:

* Can I get a beer, please?
(Uma cerveja, por favor)

* Where is the restroom?
(Onde fica o banheiro?)

I am sure you won't need any language skills to have a drink in Brazil. People are really nice and there will certainly be a folk to ask one for you. Although this is true for drinks, I don't think you will have the same luck when it comes to the bathroon subject <s>

See you in Imagine Cup Brazil!
