GWB | New Support Site
Recently, we started testing SmarterTools' SmartTrack application to replace our current support system. We were definitely using a early BETA and it had issues, but we knew the product would be in full release soon enough. So if you have tried to use the web interface lately, sorry it was broken. But today is a new day and we have updated the system to the full version of SmartTrack and everything is active and ready to roll. There are tons of new features, but the big one is Online Chat. Please ......

We yelled! MSDN Subscriptions Listened
We have been asking for a better way of testing these CTP that Microsoft has been pushing for the past few years (that we asked for) so we can just get in, test away. About a year ago, many people started asking for virtual environments that are setup with the IDE changes or .NET changes in the CTP. I just noticed last week, MSDN Subscriptions now has disks available for September CTP of Orcas. This is awesome. Now I can start playing with the tools without installing on a side laptop or creating ......

Posted On Monday, October 9, 2006 10:02 AM Results for my new DSL Line Upgrade
I recently upgraded my DSL line when I called AT&T to remove CallNotes (so annoying). The sales rep asked my if I wanted to review the rest of my account and see what is now available. As this usually means you can save money, I agreed. When we got to the DSL portion, the Pro line I was paying for was $39.99/mn at 3 mb/s which doesn't seem that bad. She asked my if I wanted to upgrade to the Elite DSL Line Plan and I started drooling. I asked, "What is an Elite Plan?". She said, "It is our 6 ......

PDCBloggers is huge this year, get your blog registered
Just like TechEd, John and I will be the aggregators for PDCBloggers this time around. The numbers of registered bloggers is outstanding this year, over 500 and climbing. To let you in on what it takes to run the site, during the event, John and I have split the list in half by name and will have about 200 - 300 posts to read every 2 hours. Much over these post will be about the PDC, so we will be going through a process of elimination to decide what has been covered and then finding qoutes to pull ......

Pearson VUE - Really Nice People
There was a typo in the Session Handout for TechEd saying the MCP testing would be open until 6pm on Friday, however, they were closing at 4pm.  John and I went in at 3:20 to take our testing for half off, since if we failed, we had this summer to retake it.  They told us we couldn't take it cause they were closing down, but gave us each a FREE TEST because of the issue.  That was very cool of them, so I wanted to thank them.

Dottext.Web.HttpCompression is ready, download here
After some testing (thanks DonXML), I feel the syndication compression for .Text is ready. However, if you have any issues, please email me at I have included the source, binaries, and compiled changes from the latest release of .Text. I have been very impressed with the HttpCompressionModule integrated into .Text. My bandwidth is down even though the hits are up. As always, please backup your binaries and config before upgrading. With out further ado, here it is. http://www.geekswithblogs.n... ......
