BBC NEWS | Science/Nature | Japanese develop 'female' android The Osaka University website seems to be unreachable currently, but I found the link below to a bit from Discovery Channel on Repliee Q2 (The upgrade of the Q1 model). I am very impressed with her range of motion, and especially the speed at which she moves, it seems very natural. I wonder how development is going on those electroactive polymer muscle fibers? Messing with IBM xSeries 336 1U and IBM in general, my experiences so far...

Pictures @ eWeek So in my current job I get to play with some cool toys, like the IBM xSeries 336 model 8837, and the EXP 400 Disk cabinet. I must say its the first time I have had some real hands-on experience with server hardware, and then to get to work with stuff thats pretty new is quite cool. Add to that, the fact that its my job to get to know this stuff very well, something I am not accustomed to, is very cool. Bought a Canon Powershot SD500 (IXUS 700)

After my lodger bought a Sony camera, I was increasingly finding uses for it, and I started considdering in ernest getting one myself. Read the DPreview of the SD500 here. So far, I am extremely happy with it, and used it almost immediatly to shoot some pics of a party I went to. The results can already be seen on Flickr, which I upgraded to a Pro account at the same time. I need to spend some time learning how to use it properly though...

Tech-Ed Irony

I started my new job on monday. Its looking very cool, but I will relate that in a later post. Anyway, to get there, I travel by train to Schiphol, our international Airport, and grab the bus to Hoofdorp, which is only 2 minutes away. In fact where I work is more or less at the end of the runway! So today I was waiting for my buss, and I notice all these coaches with Microsoft sighs in front of them. I so wish to attend Tech-Ed, but my employer would never pay my way. So typical that I have to see...

Xs4all.nl uprades to Community Server

Community Server :: Blogs Before I came here, I started my blog over at my own ISP’s blogging service, that they had started on .text (my ISP is very very cool by the way). A few days ago Blogjet started giving errors on posting to it, and now I see why.. they have upgraded :D We cant login yet, I expect they will now make the authentication passthrough so I can use my regular account info, and they still need to clean up some of the template code.. my own blog looks b0rked http://blogs.xs4all.nl/blog...
