Posting to MSN Spaces via Blogjet! IT WORKS!

Dmitry and me spent all night figuring out how Robin Curry got posting to MSN Spaces with Blogjet.. but we finally figured out the proper combination of settings! He has created a little http handler that mimics serverside the Metaweblog API, and can intercept MetaWeblog.newPost method calls and turn em into SMTP mail! :D And of course, MSN spaces supports posting via SMTP mail. The only downside to this hack, is that you need to have your own webserver running, because the “from” field...

Google Earth - Serious update to Keyhole

Google Earth - Home Wow! Remember Google buying Keyhole? Well they have just released their own version of the software, and its undergone a major update.First thing I noticed was that all the maps have been updated, and my own flat here in the Netherlands is better visible than ever before! Visions of the Future: EPIC has a Sequel!! My Friend Maarten reports that there is a new version of the EPIC flash movie out. Dont think its very fresh. They still have Google buying Tivo in 2004, which you can no longer mention if you want to maintain that 'suspension of disbelief'. Also, I see no mention of RSS and Podcasting, while I think they are part of this 'history' of the personalised mediascape.How about p2p? Review of the Vosonic VP3320 - and my audio-storage woes

Well I have dragged this thing with me all weekend, and I am not very happy with it. The thing is this: it tries to be an mp3 player and a portable harddisk, which was the whole reason I bought it, but it ends up doing neither very well. As a portable harddisk, it has the benifit of acting as a standard enclosure, so you can stick any laptop IDE hardrive in it. But on the downside, it needs the adapter to be plugged in, if you want to do actually connect it to a pc.It also uses one of those mini-usb...

Microsoft Update

http://update.microsoft.com... Not everyone seems to have been pushed to this new version yet. You are required to install a new ActiveX control for this to work. Also.. I have read reports that is’t still got some performance problems and general buggyness. Mulling over the Vosonic VP3320

http://www.vosonic.co.uk/vp... I use my PDA ( XDA I ) as a phone and pda of course, but I also listen to podcasts on it (with an 512mb SD card). But I have to come to the conclusions that its far from ideal as a walkman. Not only is it next to impossible to get a decent headphone set for it (most you can get are mono carkits), but its 2.5mm jack is also pretty rare in the headphone scene. Hardware woes... so I got some new stuff

On the eve of the new World of Warcraft patch, and GTA: San Andreas being released for the PC, of course the harddisk in my gaming rig failed. So I took the oppertunity for a little hardware upgrade. Got myself a Western Digital Raptor WD740GD. This is widely considdered as one of the fastest SATA drives out there, almost every harddrive review measures against this drive.. Its been a while...

Prepare for a post flood. I have been rather quiet on my blog the last month or so, which reflects my life in general. My employer cant get me on any job longer than a few weeks at best, I spend most of my time at the office studying my 70–299.. but its slow going cause of many distractions.. both at work and otherwise.
