IT Conversations - Pure Brainfood

IT Conversations

I just wanna plug IT Conversations for a sec here.

IT Conversations is a network of high-end tech talk-radio interviews, discussions and presentations from major conferences delivered live and on-demand via the Internet. It's a one-person labor of love. Doug Kaye is ITC's host, producer, developer, writer, interviewer and engineer. He launched IT Conversations in June 2003 and produces three to five programs each week.

Been listening for a while now, one of the first podcasts I subscibed to. (they have been around longer than podcasting though)
I just listened to the last few offerings, and felt my IQ increase about 40 points ;)

No, I don’t think just listening to this stuff actually makes you smarter, but it certainly makes you more aware!

… Being aware of things…being more aware of things   hmmm.    could be the beginning of a personal slogan… bout time to, I am sick of quoting Confucius

Doug is now offering personalized selections of recordings though customized rss feeds. Well, I’ll have my information overload, thank you very much!

I LOVE IT conversations. I was going to post about some of my recent favourites but you beat me to it Robert. I guess I can still post them next week sometime...

I just go done listening to it and I have to say I like what is going on here. accountability is something we need more of. But the question is will this be picked up by other developers? Accountibility will be a bigger and bigger every year. This year seem to be the begining of this trend. The perspective that Kent is taking is the right one, it should start at the devloper level becuase as he said developers do ahve a relationship with there code so they are the best place to start.

Fan of Tech Chats from Kevin Devin's In The Trenches, and wanted to take a look at Robert's blog

After five minutes came across this. After reading Robert's recommendation (I'm all about brainfood) checked out IT Conversations again.

Has IT Conversations changed? I had been there a week or so ago. Found Bruce Schneier's clip. Downloaded it, of course. Gave the website only a total of five minutes. Downloaded nothing else and dismissed it as maybe too corporate. Not geeky enough. Not "brainfoody" enough. Casual conversation end user society stuff.

Duh.

Glad I gave it a second look. Just downloaded four clips I'm really looking forward to listening to.
1) Gilmore Gang 1/7/05: wide range of topics
2) Gee Rittenhouse: future of wireless networking
3) Jerry Fiddler: envisioning the connected world
4) Open Source Code: Managing the Opportunity

So thanks Robert. You also do a great show on Tech Chats. Keep doing the show and keep it real.
