What's going on?

Just a quickie!

I know I just posted a while ago, but I am kind of getting in to this thing.  My friend just called me with the BCS standings...  MU is up to 5th!  I am so happy for my Tigers!  Yay us!  I actually, just watched a video clip from Mike DeArmond of the KC Star and he has Mizzou at #3 in his AP voting (http://videos.kansascity.com/vmix_hosted_apps/p/media?id=1559628).  His top 5 were:

  1. Oregon
  2. Oklahoma
  3. Missouri
  4. Kansas
  5. LSU

I think that is great!  I have thought LSU has played way too many close games this year to be #1 or #2.  Sure, talent-wise, they should be, no doubt.  But football games are not won on just pure talent.  There are a lot of factors.  Someday soon LSU won't convert those 500 4th downs to score at the end and will lose their 2nd game unless they start playing as a team.  Even being a MU fan I can appreciate the things my fellow Big 12ers are doing.  Oklahoma and Kansas are definitely playing some good team ball and I really think it's great the three of us have been beating everyone up that comes knocking at our doors recently.  I can't wait to see how this thing shakes out.  I really hope there aren't any upsets.  These teams have come so far and the finish should be spectacular.  If you read my previous blog posts, you know I am not a MU alumnus, but I am a big fan.  You'll continue to figure that out as we get through football and into basketball season.  In fact, I am a huge fan of: Missouri Tigers, Kansas City Chiefs, Kansas City Royals, Tiger Woods, and I think I am an ok NASCAR fan too.  I am probably leaving a lot of the list, but that is how it goes when I type quickly.  Oh, and I still root for my old high school, the Archbishop O'Hara High School Celtics!  I need to get out to high school game again one day.  I haven't been to one in years.  I have been to a few since I graduated in 1995, but I'd love to check them out again.  I heard the football team lost it's last game this year... I believe they are done for the year.  There is always next year!  That is my mantra as far as sports go.  Except maybe with Tiger Woods.  He is just amazing, isn't he?  I am a huge fan of golf.  I love to play and believe it or not, I even love to watch it.  I get so wrapped up in it.  My cousin and I play a lot during the warm months (and even a handful of times during the cold ones).

M-I-Z!!!!  Z-O-U!!!!  --  I bet someone knows why I wrote it that way!  Go Tigers!
