Dear Ghillie, I don't think I see you anymore...

It's definitely been a while since I've posted anything and thought I should give a quick update on the thrilling life in Jerodom.  Lately, I've taken on two extra-curricular activities to help me keep from blowing up in a fireball of unused creative potential.  Quick translation: I'm going nuts sitting in a cube all day.

Regardless, I've decided to build my own ghillie suit.  For those of you that are saying "what the h*ll is a ghillie suit" (not an uncommon question); it's what most people commonly think of when they think sniper camouflage.  You know, the big furry looking bush that you didn't notice was there until it was too late.  In any case, I figured I could use it turkey hunting (that's the excuse you've got to tell the wife - truth is, I just think it's cool and want to make one).  I found several sites helpful, but one of the most comprehensive, straightforward, and honest in my opinion was http://www.geocities.com/stalker217/ghillie/.  (*Image courtesy of Wikipedia and can be found here*)

I have also finally started to teach myself how to play lead guitar.  I've been what I would consider a solid self-taught rhythm player for about 9-10 years now, but never took the time to learn how to play good leads.  I recently acquired a book on scales and am trying to learn what goes where when you're in a certain key.  After only a week or so, I'm starting to wonder why I didn't swallow my pride and do this beforehand.  It's really not all that hard and makes you a far better and more versatile player.  So far, I've only had time to get down the Minor Pentatonic scale

So there's a quick update to the fabulous life of Jerod Crump.  If you want any tips on ghillie suits or guitar playing, please shoot me an email.
