I'd like to introduce the newest member of my family, the Samsung HL-S5087W DLP TV. If you're looking for a deal on HDTV, I recommend it. The picture on this thing is amazing, 1080p resolution, 10000:1 contrast ratio, and a pretty fair price. If you're lucky enough to find some competing stores, as I did, you can pick one up for under $1,800 and get a long-term no-interest financing deal. While I'm not thrilled about the DLP lamps only lasting an average of 3,000 hours, it is nice that you can simply replace the lamp and your TV is just like a brand new one (as opposed to having to scrap an LCD or Plasma that goes bad). I'm even getting all of the local HD broadcasts over my set of $10 RCA rabbit ears - free HD baby!
