A much needed laugh

I love blogs, I really do. I found this person's site from a comment they wrote in one of my posts. Thank you Rob because I needed to laugh this hard.

His site is http://throbs.net/ and apparently he and possibly a bunch of other people have a lot of time on their hands. This is very good for me because I get to see their wonderful works of art.

The home page is a little strange but it's really cool. Click on the fun links at the bottom, basically the little buttons at the bottom. I'm not used to this kind of layout but well it does work. Also note the lovely message in the bottom left hand corner, it's priceless.

You absolutely have to click on the Windows link, if you don't do anything else. It's incredibly funny and I am laughing so hard I'm crying right now. Be sure to click Start and go through all of the links, you'll be glad you did. I'm even laughing thinking about it while I write this because it's just that funny.

Thanks again Rob, for initially helping me out with the comment plus leading me to your wonderful site. I'll definitely be checking back every so often, probably going through all of the links on a daily basis. I love humor like this, it makes my job a little more tolerating.

Glad you liked it Jeremy.

Yeah it's a crazy layout. It's basically my playground away from work (I'm a web developer). One day it'll have a blog and many other fun things too, if I can find More "time on my hands" (in this case, the cobbler's kids got no shoes!).

Unfortunately I can't take credit for creating the "fun" in the links. They're just some particular favorites I've gathere d in one place.

Great blog btw. I discovered it about a week ago and keep getting drawn back to it thanks to the geekswithblogs feed. I dig the Life OS idea (and all good metaphors/analogies/parables, really) -- wish I'd thought of it myself :>.

I'll try to put up a few more of the good fun bits I've found soon.

I realized after I saw the singing horses that it was a collection of funny stuff.

Still, I wouldn't have found it if you hadn't made a comment on my blog. It's still worth going back to now and again because I don't think the Windows piece will ever get old to me. Especially since I still deal with Windows 98 somewhat.

The Life OS idea isn't as cool as it was in my head. When I initially thought of it I was like "Wow this really makes sense" and it exicted me. By the time I was ready to put it on paper or here, much of the excitement and meaning died down. I've still been thinking about it, but the original thought hasn't been captured like I hoped. That goes with most of what I write though, which is why I have this little notepad I take with me to the bathroom. Apparently 98% of all of my good ideas happen while I'm taking a dump. Go figure.

Ha, I know what you mean! Much of my best thinking happens while "working in my other office." The notepad is a great idea...

BTW, I linked a few more fun items. You'll probably get a kick out of the last one (right-most): "Windows Remixed". Very cool.
