It's official! The Frederick .NET User Group (FredNUG) is now a member of INETA. At the December FredNUG meeting, Frank La Vigne, the INETA Membership Mentor for Maryland, DC, and Delaware, was in attendance to make the official announcement to the group. It's great to be recognized by INETA and to have its support.
Since FredNUG's founding in September 2008, we've already enjoyed hearing from a few notable speakers, including G. Andrew Duthie and Pete Brown. Of course, we're always looking for more speakers. Anyone interested in speaking at a monthly meeting should contact me. The group typically meets the 4th Wednesday of each month.
The January meeting agenda is:
6:45-7:15 PM - Introduction to LINQ to SQL - Ganesan Muthiah
7:30-8:30 PM -Texas Hold'em Silverlight Game - Dean Fiala - If you've written one too many data entry applications or are otherwise stuck in a development vortex, it's time to walk into the light, Silverlight that is. If you've heard about it, or have been constantly badgered by the Microsoft site to download it, this is your chance to see what it can actually do. In this session, we'll walk through developing a Texas Hold'em game in Silverlight. Guaranteed to be a 97.89% buzzword-free reminder of how writing software can be fun.
8:30-8:45 PM Raffle/Drawings
