Reusable Data Access Layers

Can anyone tell me what the performance concerns are with using the IDb interfaces like the one found here instead of using the Data Access Blue Brick (or the Enterprise Library) from Microsoft? I am betting that the Blue Brick is faster but the IDb interfaces seem very quick also.
