Here are two posts concerning development that I think would be beneficial for everyone to read:

The first concerns the future of Microsoft's Application Blocks, or Blue Bricks. Many of us all ready use them in applications but before making a decision to use them in future applications, you should know what Microsoft has planned for them.

The second concerns Microsoft's decision not to keep the Components tray in the designer. Be sure to also read the 'major regression happening in ASP.NET v2' and the 'Microsoft decided not to fix it' links in the article.
