element? Then, potentially, you are. Sites that embed PDF, Flash, QuickTime, Windows Media, or RealPlayer files will all get hit by this.

What happens? The page loads, but the controls are disabled by default. In order to activate them, the user must click on them first.

Bad for advertisers? Yep. Bad for CMS/eCommerce vendors that rely on ActiveX controls? Yep. Bad for media sites? You bet. Bad for Adobe? Of course.

Really, there's no good side here. Except that you've got two months to fix your sites. Like you didn't have anything better to do anyway. Enjoy."

bodytag - web programming explorations is a great website when you need a bit (or a lot) of inspiration. I can't remember how I got there, but I surely stayed for a while!

I'm mostly (if not only) interested in the DHTML or JS bits, so those are the only ones I can comment on. When I saw the code for the 3Dballs example, it seemed very simple. And yet the effect is so striking.

Me like!!!

Another great resource for stuff like that is http://youngpup.net/code/ - just take a lot at this Cropper, he just threw together...

Stumbled across a few very nice (online) color scheme generators, and although the first one is by far the coolest to me, other people may prefer a different kind of app.

slayeroffice color palette creator v1.6. Slayeroffice.com has a bunch of cool tools, the color palette creator is of many.
Creating colour palettes - An article that apparently have been inspiring to a lot of people
Here is a bit of inspiration, if the generators just can't seem to get things right.
