Jannik - We had a bit of miscommunication in there. The book is finished... all reviews, final PDF proofing, etc... everything is done. The PDFs are now at the printer and the first copies of the book should be rolling off the line the first or second week of November. I'm going to ~assume~ that it will be available for shipment mid November. I'm not sure what would delay that date, but it may happen.

You're right, the publisher's website (www.packtpub.com) listed the book to be available now, but then updated it to say November.

Thank you for your preorder. Sorry for the delay, but as with any book, delays are unavoidable. However, this delay has made the book even better! Thank you very much for your interest!

Mei Ying wasn't the only one... I have a post all written and everything... actually posted it as well, but then realized that the website had an error and we were jumping the gun a bit. I was just able to pull it down before any RSS aggregators saw it! :)

Hi Andrew. I know that these things happen - and I probably should have placed a [RANT] tag in the header of this post.

I am really looking forward to this book, whenever it may arrive ;-)

No problem. Hey, know that we were shooting to get this released sometime earlier in late summer! I can assure you there is a considerable amount of content that isn't out there yet. Sure, there is some that's already out there, but not with the detail of the exercises, screenshots, and step-by-step instructions.

Book is now available for ordering (and they are printing the preordered copies). First copies rolled out last week. We (authors) have yet to see it, but the publisher has one in hand... sweetness!
