I recently had a problem on my Motorola Q cellphone and lost all my data.

No problems though!  I had Sprite Backup installed and it runs every night, backing up my entire cellphone memory to the SD card.

Contacts, text messages, photos, videos, audio recordings, various software installed, all backed up nightly automatically.

So I contact Sprite to get the new version because the backup software on the phone's memory was also deleted.  I install the latest version and imagine my surprise when I see this:

.... what?  Exactly what good is a backup program that can not read backups from older versions of the software?  I could understand if, say, maybe I created the backup with v0.6, or even v1.0, but I'm trying to restore a backup created with v6.0 using v6.5 software.

Really?  That many changes within a version number?  Someone needs to tell Sprite how to create backup software because this is awful, especially for a program that claims to have 10 million users and somehow got 5 out of 5 from WMExperts.com.  I'm guessing they didn't bother doing a restore with the software in that review.

Thank god I also had dashwire installed and my contacts and text were restored within minutes but I lost all the software and other files installed.

Sprite Backup sucks, and I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks so.
