I’m pulling together to offer six weeks of FREE technical and commercial help to UK companies to explore the Windows Azure Platform starting in Jan 2012. Check out http://www.sixweeksofazure....

It has been a couple of weeks since I last posted about TechDays. Today I completed the final review of all the decks for the Windows Azure developer tracks for Monday and Tuesday. All except for the keynote (always troublesome) and the roadmap session (equally troublesome) are now final – which gives me a warm and likely misplaced feeling that we are in good shape. Yesterday we had the T-1 week meeting in which everyone was smiling. Good stuff. In my case, it was also my first experience of using...

Tomorrow (Wednesday 4th May 2011) I’m lab proctoring at the first of the Windows Azure Bootcamps taking place over the next month. Steve has created these Bootcamps to enable developers to get hands on experience of much of the Windows Azure Platform in a half day. If you are a follower of this blog then you are likely working for a UK ISV. If you also happen to be attending on the 4th then please say hi when you see me. Hopefully you are attending one of the labs (there is still spaces) but if you...

My colleagues in the UK Bing team are running an event at Tech Days for the first time. The intention is to cover the latest on Bing and Bing Maps APIs, providing a great update on how the tools can be used, and showing examples of some new and powerful applications. The event has some great speakers from the UK and from Microsoft Corporation – all of whom are experts in their field. We will be covering the Bing design philosophy, the Bing API, our Webmasters Kit for Search Engine Optimisation and...

Over on my team blog I just posted another great opportunity. If you are UK based and work for a company that creates software products and want to dig into SharePoint 2010 development for FREE with a great UK based SME (subject matter expert) then register today. The training is 100% free and you don’t need to leave the comfort of your office/house/starbucks (other coffee shops with wifi do exist) – yet you still get to ask plenty of questions...
