UK MSDN Flash Poll for June 17th 2009: How many monitors do you use for developing software?

I have a couple of days leave coming, hence the early poll to accompany the Flash next week.

I bumped into an old colleague who now has a six monitor setup in his home for developing software – which made my “notebook + 19inch monitor” setup look a little sad. Especially as I share that monitor with an Xbox 360 and a PC gaming rig.

I was wondering if folks would like me to organise a full hardware (multi-question) survey via the Flash in the future? I for one would love to know what we all use.

I use the bog standard 2 at work but only 1 at home. I intend to add more since it allows for full immersion in your work, instead of having to decipher the tabs at the bottom.

I would appreciate a link to something that tells me HOW exactly to connect that many monitors to a pc. Do I buy PCI + AGP + PCI-E cards and try to get them synchronised?

I 2 monitors. 1 AGP card with two connectors.

I am toying with the idea of creating a "full" hardware/software survey for developers - as this little poll is proving pretty popular. Let me know any specifics you would want to see in that survey.

Obvious is: Screen Res, # of CPUs, memory, storage, primary screen size

I use 2 monitors, im running 4 virtual servers on one phishical server.
MOSS - virtual
SQL 2005 - Virtual
Dev Server - Virtual
WEB Server - Virtual
I use main server as my DSN and SMTP.

I use 1x27" and 1x22" at work. I use 3 monitors, 2xancient 18.4" and 1x30" dell at home. 30" runs at 2560x1600 so I can get 4x1280x800 virtual consoles if needed or loadsa code. I would realy like to replace those 19" screens with 22" in landscape mode.

I tried voting and was told I need to enable cookies in my browser first... my browser is set to accept session and first party cookies... so I wonder why I have to accept third party cookies in order to take part - and who this third party may be....
