T-SQL and GROUP BY ALL



How is it possible that I'm just learning about the "GROUP BY ALL" option?  It sounds like it would save a lot of time.  It worries me though that Microsoft says not to use it anymore because it will be removed from a future version.  Is there a good alternative?

When you design an SSIS package now, there's an advanced aggregate tool that really helped me finish a project quickly at Bell Mobility instead of filing up the temp database constantly. I recommend you check it out....maybe that's their future solution to group by.
