Hello,

I've not been blogging for the past 2 months maybe because of being extremely busy. Anyways, one of the topics that I've faced is that the government in my country decided to not use daylight saving anymore. So, in order to make sharepoint understand this you'll probably have to do it manually like this:

  1. Go to edit the timezone.xml file found in \Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Web Server Extensions\14\CONFIG
  2. Take a backup in case something went wrong and then search for your city name, for example in my case I've searched for Cairo and I've found this:

            You'll just have to change the <Bias> in <DaylightTime> to 0, then iisreset and you're done :)

        <Bias>-120</Bias>
        <StandardTime>
            <Bias>0</Bias>
            <Date>
                <Month>9</Month>
                <Day>5</Day>
                <Hour>23</Hour>
                <Minute>59</Minute>
                <Second>59</Second>
                <Milliseconds>999</Milliseconds>
                <DayOfWeek>4</DayOfWeek>
            </Date>
        </StandardTime>
        <DaylightTime>
            <Bias>-60</Bias>
            <Date>
                <Month>4</Month>
                <Day>5</Day>
                <Hour>23</Hour>
                <Minute>59</Minute>
                <Second>59</Second>
                <Milliseconds>999</Milliseconds>
                <DayOfWeek>4</DayOfWeek>
            </Date>
        </DaylightTime>
