I have noticed that Microsoft has decided to make the beta of the first Service Pack for Visual Studio 2005 available to a broader public meaning that you no longer need to opt-in for the beta through the Microsoft Connect web site, instead you can download the Beta from the Microsoft Downloads web site:http://www.microsoft.c... Somasegar announced on his blog the availability of the Beta of the first (?) Service Pack for Visual Studio 2005 which can be download from the Microsoft Connect web site if you get in the Beta program. Two months after the planned release date Microsoft has finally released the first Service Pack for Visual Studio .NET 2003. The downloadable executable is 156MB large and can be downloade from here. The release notes were already published earlier. When you install the SP you will notice some delays between dialogs and get the false impression that the installer has frozen. This is a known issue as outlined in the release notes. Now we have to wait for the first Service Pack for Visual Studio 2005...
The first Service Pack for The Visual Studio .NET 2003 will be released very soon. Initially scheduled for June but now expected about 2 months later. Today Microsoft released the Visual Studio .NET 2003 Service Pack 1 Release Notes. The download size of the service pack is about 160MB and will be available in 10 languages. Once the SP is available and you have installed it you cannot uninstall it without uninstalling Visual Studio .NET 2003 first so take this in mind when you install it on your...
