Collaboration between Microsoft and Novell on, Windows/Linux interop

In a press release Microsoft announced the collaboration with Novell on Windows and Linux interoperability. You can read the whole press release here. Does this mean that Microsoft is going to fully support the Mono project as well? I guess time will tell but that will open so many doors! Cross-posted from The .NET Aficionado...

Another Microsoft hotshot leaves the firm

Brian Valentine, Senior Vice President, Windows Core Operating System Division left Microsoft to join the forces of Amazon. Brian was working for the vole since 1987. Now is this just my impression or are a lot of hotshot-Microsofties trying to seek out that greener grass across the street? Microsoft vs DRM hackers

Some hackers created a proggie to remove the DRM from audio files called FairUse4WM. Microsoft said that they have designed the IBX, which is the individualized blackbox component to DRM protect audio files, in such a way that allows Microsoft to easily update the component once hacked. New build of Windows Media player 10

The last couple of days there have been quite some Microsoft releases. Windows Vista RC1 is available on the Microsoft connect site and so is the first RC of the .NET Framework 3.0. Others reported that there is a second beta build of Windows Media player 11. Therefore I would like to let you know that Microsoft also released a new build of Windows Media Player 10. Microsoft Habu - Laser Gaming Mouse

A couple of weeks ago the site www.notfornoobs.com went live. It showed a television with the company logo's of Microsoft and Razer. The first couple of days after the launch nobody could confirm whether or not this was a bogus site collecting email addresses since you could register to be notified when the site went live. MSDN TV: Geo-targeting used for the globalisation of the MSDN web site

[Microsoft] released a new [MSDNTV] episode where Victus Wong and John Serna. Victus Wong currently works for Microsoft as one of the Program Manager on [MSDN] & [TechNet] where he works on components for globalisation and personalisation.
