I will never Forget the Windows 98 Operating System, even though Microsoft has dropped Supporting Windows 98 Officially. Microsoft, Officially from July 11th (Yesterday) has discontinued Support for Windows 98 SE. oops, will we get the Windows98 Compabilty Mode in Windows Vista??? or in the Windows 2003 SP2???or atleast in Windows XP SP3?

To see the Service Pack Road Map click aside http://www.microsoft.com/windows/lifecycle/servicepacks.mspx

I Hate typing long Blogs. But am Truly Emotional to Windows 98 bcoz this(JULY 11,2006) has been an Emotional Date for me and to all those Oldtime 98 Users.Though no much security Features were built in Windows 98,it was one of the fastest OS made by Microsoft. It also had a Widespread Software Vendors to build Softwares that Run on Windows 98 which made it the most Popular OS too. Windows 98 had rescued me and my Data from my computer in more than 50 situations. Cases will be like i had crashed my OS manytimes and Win98 Bootup CD will come to the Rescue.

Here are some of the Cool things which made me addicted to use Windows 98 Often:::::

The FDISK tool in the Windows 98 is an awesome tool and is the most frequently used tool by me.

The install time for Windows 98 on my machine comes to nearly 20mins and 10mins for all the Driver Installation. So its the best chice for a Standby OS when i am in Struck in case of Data Retrieval.

The Bootup CD of Windows98 has been the Coolest thing that can help u handy.

Another supercool thing which impressed many users was the EBD aka Emergency Boot Disk which had all the tools in a Single Floppy disk to get ur Computer to Work.

Once i had the Whole Windows 98 in my USB Drive which was the coolest thing ever i had experimented with Windows98. Plug it anywhere and Windows98 is up for you.((Forget the Driver problem))

As i told I Hate typing long Blogs, i ll end it up in here and will add more of my expereience with Windows 98 later whenever i get the same Issues again. But the drop of the support will not much affect bcoz the Big Brother WindowsXP supports all the applications that were meant for Windows 98. So we all can Still use the old applications until Vienna Comes into Action.

Do Comment on ur memorable experience with Windows 98.

........am seeing an increasing trend of the big guys simply copying what successful startups are doing. AOL with this product and AIM Pages. Google with Google Notebook and a flurry of other projects, etc. The only large company that is even experimenting with unproven concepts at this point is Microsoft with its various Live.com ideas. I’d like to see more experimenting at the big company level.....

Sony reasons the delays in Blue-Ray copyright Protection had made the long wait. Still the Digital Rights Management(DRM) for Blue-Ray disk has not yet been finalised. And in the recent PS3 Conference sony had revelaed that its PS3 machine will by defualt contain a 60GB HDD and Linux OS. Don know why these guys stick to Linux. May be reduce the cost of the already hiked PS3.lol. Also there are news that PS3 might not be 100% backward compatible as Xbox360 unlike the Xbox360 which plays almost all Xbox games perfectly.
Personally i feel that the Sony PS3 might not get the Market until the Blue-Ray Disc is made commonly available. It has already got a Blow in its PlayStationPortable(PSP) in which they tried thier properitry UMD Format disks which din make a big market. The same case might be with PS3 sporting Blue-Ray also. I think its not needed to beef it up so much on the configuration. The major leak for this being the Initial investment needed to Produce a Blue-Ray disk is much higher when compared in migrating to produce HD-DVD from DVD.

Microsoft Corp. is set to take another crack at creating a uniform way for people to log on to Web sites, conduct transactions, and prove their identities online.

Code-named InfoCard, the project will be outlined by Microsoft executives at the RSA computer security conference. It reflects a change in approach for the company after its Passport initiative fell far short of the original goal of becoming a universal method of identification on the Internet.

Unlike Passport, the InfoCard project is meant to work with a variety of online identity providers, not just one. Microsoft hopes to persuade governmental agencies, banks, online services, and others to issue digital cards that people could use to establish different levels of identity for themselves at online sites.

Will soon post more about it .

There was actually a Student Champ Recruitement in here and i too decided to go for it.

Well the interview for selection was actually at the Regional Microsoft office at Chennai.

The office was simply cool..We some 20 students from our college had been there for the Interview. Then we were informed that we had a Group Discussion (which made me a bit nervous) and Technical Interview& Personal Interview. The last two interviews didnt really bother me as I talked as the usual way i did..(a bit teky talk indeed).

Then i left and moved to movie.

Today :
