I have forgotten that when a project is near completion, you don't make any changes to the code.

I've gotten so used to having a unit test suite setup so that you can KNOW that you didn't break anything with your code changes. 


Imagine having things set up such that your tested code doesn't take any longer to develop, AND you can instantly check any change you make to see if it broke anything, AND you have confidence that it really will be “that simple”.
