Geeks With Blogs

Geekus Con Livus Malcolm Anderson's home for Geeks With Lives

Do you live with in 200 miles of Portland Oregon?

Do you have a subject related to programming that you are passionate about?

Are you a geek with a hidden desire to demonstrate to the world that you know what you are talking about?

Are you available to be in Vancouver Washington this Saturday and / or Sunday?

If you or someone you know fit's the above description, we need you NOW.

Run, don't walk over to the Portland Code Camp site and sign up to give that presentation you've always wanted to give.

We need 10 more presentations in order to have one more day added to the schedule (currently it's Saturday only)

Here are some thoughts.

Have you done anything cool with code recently.

Has you or anyone at your company asked your company's marketing department about the huge benefits that come from having their employee's doing public presentation as part of their marketing strategy.  If your company backs it, I'm sure that they would support you in (as in give you work time to) taking a few hours to polish that "presentation-you've-always-wanted-to-do".  Mention to the HR department that having “industry speakers“ looks good when they hand out the brochure to the college interns.

Have you ever thought about becoming a contractor, your speaking engagement could be the start of your own personal marketing campaign.

All you need is knowledge and the willingness to share that knowledge with others.

Sign up now.
