Anybody get Doom 3 yet?
Anybody go spend the $55 to get Doom 3 yet? Lets hear some reviews...  Curious to playablility on diff hardware configurations too.  My video card probaly wont handle it, time to upgrade.....

Yes I have Doom3,

And then I had to pay £500 $1200ish on new equipment

I would give it 8/10 as the graphics are superb but the game play just lacks something. game play 4/10

After sifting through tons of pages on Doom3 a realistic spec is

a socket 754 or 939 Athlon 2800+ minimum
or Intel at 3GHz

A Geforce TI4200, 6600,6800
Or Radeon 9600XT,9700,9800,x800

Basically any graphics card over £100 $225
Forget budget cards

These are the Radeon 9200,9550 and Geforce 5200FX as these are CPU reliant (on the Main CPU).

1 GB of PC2700/PC3200
2 GB recommended

and a well ventilated case.
