I can’t believe I am writing this, or that I am having to code this way. It seems a major client of ours refuses to use IE. So out major webapp has to be compliant with Netscape and Mozilla Firefox. Man does that make for problems. Although the DOM should be the same, it seems MS has of course, added a bunch of custom stuff that works in IE. Yeah .NET is supposed to determine the browser type and output the proper html. This does work, but it’s not the case when it comes to using javascript! ......

Well, I spent the money, I picked up a new NVIDIA GForceFX 5700 Ultra with 128 MB DDR3 RAM.  Needless to say I can now play Doom how I want to.  Been playing at 800x600 at High Resolution. :)  I'm stuck in Delta Labs Level 2 now, I can't find an alternate way to the scond floor, guess I'll keep looking.

From Miss Bless KIFFA Abidjan Cote D'Ivoire West Africa Hi Lover, please reply to (blesskiffa2000@yahoo.fr ) for security reason. I am the only Daughter of my late parents Mr.and Mrs.BLESSING KIFFA My father was a highly reputable busnness magnet who operated in the capital of Ivory coast during his days.I'm a deaf girl. It is sad to say that he passed away mysteriously in France during one of his business trips abroad year 12th.Febuary 2000.Though his sudden death was linked or rather suspected ......

I embrace moving forward with technology. Alot of people say they don't trust Microsoft anymore and are afraid to download service pack 2, others are shying away from SP2 until MS receives as fixes it first batch of error reports. I don't believe there is any reason for not trusting Microsoft anymore. XP2 is just the natural evolution of software operating systems. You hear so many articles about windows vunerabilities, exploits, etc circling the web almost every week. Everytime a new operating system ......

I was trying a very simple prototype of manually serializing objects and storing them in a memory stream. Obviously this sample is not the final implementation, it's just a test. So tell me why I get this stupid error.... here is the code: Imports System.Xml.SerializationImp... System.IOImports System.XmlImports System.Text <Serializable()> _Public Class TestObjectPublic Firstname As StringPublic lastname As StringPublic DOB As DatePublic age As IntegerEnd Class TryDim oTO As New TestObjectoTO.Firstname ......

I read a pretty interesting article today.... How Microsoft Lost the API War. I'd have to say a was a little dismayed. Like most of the developers I know, I am currently developing in ASP.NET. I have probaly been using ASP.NET for the last 2 years or so, before that it was all Windows applications. I had the opportunity to write some distributed Windows Applications upon the release of Visual Studio .NET, but since then its been all web. The majority of my skillset lies in SQL databases, middle-tier ......

Well, I went and got the game, and to boot I had to get some new hardware to run it, my ATI Rage 128 with 16MB RAM just wouldn't cut it. I didn't want to spend a fortune on a new video card, but wanted something I wouldn't have to replace for awhile. I picked up an Asylum GPU NVIDIA® GeForce™ FX 5200 w/ 256MB DDR. I picked up one with 256 MB RAM so I wouldn't need to be replacing it in the next year. It cost $128.00 which wasn't too bad considering my budget. I even took a look at the ......

Any Mapping guys out there? If you do any type of mapping, this may be of interest. The ultimate .NET mapping toolkit for building spatially aware Winforms and ASP.NET Webforms applications. The Map Suite product line is the only integrated toolset designed with the non GIS developer in mind. Nothing like native .net components! ......

Anybody go spend the $55 to get Doom 3 yet? Lets hear some reviews...  Curious to playablility on diff hardware configurations too.  My video card probaly wont handle it, time to upgrade.....

Maybe someone here can help me out with this little problem I've been having. I've been studying the remoting framework, mostly using Ingo Rammer's Advanced .NET Remoting book. In chapter 6, he presents a sample application on Enhanced Distributed Events.I've been trying to understand how this works and for the most part it all makes sense. The disconnect comes when comparing the C# to VB.NET version of the sample code. Here are the sample projects in both languages: C# Sample Solution VB.NET Sample ......
