Working at the Grant Public Schools I've been able to offer alot of insight on ways to do new things, and ways to do old things, more efficiently.

Firefox (everyone loves firefox)
Hamachi (1337 networking tool, if you haven't seen it, you have to check it out)
SingleClick UVNC (Great for tech support, especially in large corporations)
ASP.Net 2.0 (Web Page development, the ability to do everything you need to do, at any computer in the world)
Microsoft Virtual PC (Why screw it up when you can try it first with out regrets?)
Simple, and free applications, that add tremendous performance.
