Miscellaneous

One thing that I'd like to see on GeeksWithBlogs.net is a standard code color formatter. I'm not talking about a full-blown colorizer - although that would be nice. I just referring to a simple section in the main CSS file that took care of the <code>and <pre> sections similar to how Code Project takes care of theirs. It would also be nice to have icons on the toolbar to help support that, but again, that's just a luxury that probably isn't worth that much time.

Personally, I added CSS to model Code Project, as I mentioned above, and also added another tag for reserved words - <em>. This style is only applied to code within a <pre> block - it's also what is used when you click the I icon.

I may be one of the few people that actually uses the web interface, but I'm just trying to make it easier to post code blocks that look the same in both the GWB aggregated web view and the personalized view. Not sure if anyone else really cares about it or not. The only thing it saves is me typing out a bunch of code to make things look pretty or going thru and trying to format everything with the right font size, style, and color.

PS: ...it would also be nice to have .Text recognize “&gt;” and “&lt;” characters and not convert them to “<” and “>” when editing a message - that's very annoying. But, that has nothing to do with GWB.

Sounds like a cool project for one of the GWB.net volluteers to work on :D. Snipplet Compiler does an excellent job of that BTW.
