I have popped over to http://www.crossfader.com "Crossfader is an online community for the global electronic artist. We are building this tool to help you connect with people who share your love for creation, great music, technology and modern culture." I haven't really had time to get totally familiar with the product, but here is are my first impressions. Pros: The site is very nice to look at. The layout is nice and easy to navigate. If you click on the 'Launch Windows Media Player' icon. The...
I have been comment spammed. I have rectified the situation with the magic delete comment button. I hope this didn't happen to everyone. I hope this doesn't turn into a regular occurrence
I am now currently sick. I think it what has been going around the office for the last month or so. I am the last man standing though. If I do get sick and stay home I will do some good posts. For now I am off to bed to try to get better
There will be Search Champs v2. I know a invitation is a long shot, but I guy can hope can't he.
Over at BetaNews there is an article MSN In Need of an Image Makeover?. After reading it over and then going over to Torres Talking which is blogs MSN - Early adopters and "influencers". I was thinking how can there be any buzz about products when everything Microsoft does is so public. The most recent example would be IE 7. We already know what they are planning. I can picture it in my head tabbed browser, CSS 2.0, etc. So will I be excited when I get my hands on it yet? Of course, but will I be...
Shortly after postings about the Rory and Scott video which mentioned gotdotnet I thought to myself why don't they use something else. Anything else has to be better. The only product I though that would work and is branded with the Microsoft name is SharePoint 2003 Portal. I went looking online to see if I could find anyone else with this idea. Surprise someone else has already thought of this (not really surprised lots of smart people out there). Here is the link to the discussion. http://blogs.msdn.com/lamon...
I have just seen Rory and Scott go to TechEd - A love story. I laughed so hard. My favorite quote is: "they were using gotdotnet you know, but when I went there to download the code the other day and I am still waiting for the page to load" (I think I got that right). It so funny because it so true. Every time I see a link to gotdotnet, I am just hoping that today will be my lucky day and it will work correctly. Thanks Scoble for the link.[Now Playing: - Scott and Rory (02:25)]...
The Star War Trailer for Episode III that was shown after the OC was AWESOME! I will be going to see Robots this weekend so I will see it again. I saw Jimmy Smiths in it for about 3 seconds. I am a big fan of the West Wing so seeing him in Episode III will be fun
I was watching the news tonight and heard the Delta would remove pillows from all US flights. After a little research I found out that American has done the same. So Bring Your Own Pillow. I wonder if Jet Blue is doing this (I have heard great things about this airline)
WinFS is going to be backported to Windows XP. I ask myself the question of how can the possible get the masses to upgrade to Longhorn. I will upgrade because I always will, I always want to be on the latest and greatest, but why should my Dad upgrade it Longhorn? What will it buy him? Instead of back porting all of Longhorn into XP why not put the resources into finishing Longhorn. All I see if Microsoft spending a ton a cash and time (and as we all know time is money) on back porting the technology....
Its official I will be at TechEd 2005. I have received my confirmation email. The flight and the hotel are booked. If you are interesting in meeting up, just let me know via a comment or send me an email via my blog. See you in about 13 weeks.
It seems like that issues I was having with the Microsoft Watch have been fixed. I have re-subscribed to the rss feed. http://www.geekswithblogs.c... | Comments...
David Sifry, has become my new online buddy. He has informed via my comments that: "It is a known regression bug, we're working on a fix as we speak." Thanks David for responding so quickly. The original post and comment can be found here: http://geekswithblogs.com/e... ...
Amit Wgarwal has notified me that the Technorati Searchlet has stopped working. It will retrieve items for the entire database even if you choose 'this blog'. Bummer. I wonder if David Sifry could enlighten the blogosphere of what is going on
