Trying NewsGator...

I have decided to try NewsGator for Outlook 2k3. I have set it all up and going to be test driving it for the evaluation period. If anyone has any tips on the best way to use NewsGator, feel free to just leave a comment.

# re: Trying NewsGator...

I started by using Newsgator then I tried, Sharpreader, RssBandit, Omea reader and I'm sure I tried others but I'm now back to Newsgator. Having everything in one app (Outlook) is just great. Although there is a new outlook rss plugin that is free I cannot remember the name right now but I was meaning to look at it.

One thing I didn't like about newgator was having to navigate the folder hierarchy to read new posts - I'd like them to "roll up" to the top level folder sort of like NewsBandit.

What I did was create a new search folder that lists all unread posts throughout my newssgator folders. This works well for me.

# RSS Popper

I'm using RSS Popper, which is also an RSS plug-in for Outlook, and it's free.
