Starting to love Live.com
Over the years all developers have written a favorites tool or site to save our favorites between work and home. Well now Microsoft has a site that can do this for us,
http://favorites.live.com/
. It also has an import wizard that can upload all of your favorites from any browser!
Now here is what really makes this cool in my opinion... There is a gadget at
http://microsoftgadgets.com/forums/698/ShowPost.aspx
that you can use add the favorites to your
www.live.com
homepage! For any of you that have not used
www.live.com
, I highly recommend it. The entire sites is written using ATLAS which you should definitely read up on if you don't know what it is.
At TechReady2 in Seattle, there where many sessions that discussed Gadgets,
www.live.com
,
www.microsoftgadgets.com
, integration with Windows Vista via the sidebar, ATLAS, and so on... I knew about most of this information prior to TechReady2 due to Adam Kinney blogging about it. I met Adam a few years ago when we were both presenting at the Heartland Developers Conference. I have to admit that I was skeptical about gadgets before, but now all I seem to hear about is Gadgets, MS Services, and
www.live.com
.
