Microsoft.com is the 5th most visited Web site and now it is moving on to Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007. Microsoft has already moved the Home Page and in the background are migrating the much of Microsoft.com to the new platform.
Needless to say about the vast-ness of the Microsoft site and the amount of content it hosts under so many sections.
Hosting of such a site on SharePoint speak volumes about the capability of the platform. Considering the factors like scalability, availability, size, volume of visitors and many other similar things. This is simply great.
