Bri-forum 2007 is finished and time to head home.

All my presentations are done even though this morning having 2 back to back presentations was a bit tiring. (I hope the attendees enjoyed them?)

It's been good, Wide ranging topics not just Terminal Services and Citrix and some interesting announcements..

Time to head home on the 8/9 hour flight.. (oh joy)

BriForum is a three-day, independent conference hosted by The Brian Madden Company. BriForum 2007 hosted at The Gleacher Center in Chicago, from April 23-25, 2007.

Are you having issue creating an image using Ghost Solution Suite 2.0 with the latest laptops or desktops.

Creating an image using Ghost from a newish desktops, or laptop seem to not completing

If you have a Intel Pro 1000 card this might be down to Symantec using a Intel Pro 1000 Driver from 2005.

Brian Madden has tried to make BriForum conferences different from standard conferences. Of course this is most evident in our approach and our technical content, but they also try to focus on a great overall conference experience for attendees. (i.e. fun venues, fast WiFi, the custom video player engine, etc.) This year Brian is proud to announce that they have completely got rid of the spiral-bound paper conference guide and replacing it with a Flash-based digital guide.

The main window of this guide will be the session schedule. You can select the conference day and then scroll through the session list to see which sessions you want to attend. You can also click on a session to read the details of that session and the presenter. (When you use this app during the conference, it will actually look at your computer's time and timezone setting and will automatically jump to the current day and hour.)

Ross Brown leaves eEye

eEye Digital Security has shaken up its top management, firing chief executive officer Ross Brown less than six months after promoting him to the top slot.

Kamal Arafeh, who previously managed eEye's sales operations, will be the new CEO. The rest of the management team — CTO Marc Maiffret and CFO John Gardiner — remains intact.

Brown joined eEye in 2005 as COO after a stint at Citrix Systems (vice president of Worldwide Channels and Operations) and moved up to the CEO slot in October 2006. Brown, who is an outspoken blogger, could not be reached for comment.

eEye, a brand-name security research firm that regularly discovers software vulnerabilities, rakes in about $12 million a year from sales of the Retina and Blink line of intrusion prevention products.

Brown's ouster comes less than 24 hours after the release of eEye's Blink Personal Internet Security 3.0, with an added twist of anti-virus technology and a touch of the freebies.

BriForum Europe 2007 will be in Amsterdam, October 8-10 2007

BriForum Europe 2007 will take place Monday, October 8 through Wednesday, October 10, 2007, at the NEMO Science Center in Amsterdam.

We're working on getting the website up right now, but we wanted to get this information out there since lots of people have been emailing and asking about it.

The “call for presentations” aspect from last year (where we invited everyone from the community submit and present presentations) was a huge success, and
we’ll be giving everyone the opportunity to speak at BriForum Europe 2007 as well.

The NEMO Science Center is a very cool space. It's a children's science museum with several large rooms and theaters that's right on the water in central Amsterdam.

Full details, including registration, location and hotel information, call for papers, and dates & deadlines will be available in a few weeks when we finish the BriForum Europe 2007 website.
