When using ajax to load data from the server it is useful to display a “loading” animation to let the user know that something is happening. These bits of code and this gif spinner will do the trick! you can find a number of alternative spinners or make your own! Position the following div wherever you want it on your page. I’ve been working a lot with Microsoft CRM over the past few months and much of the screen level customization uses javascript.

One thing I discovered today while breaking apart some dates was that the javascript getDate() returns the day of the month 1-31 as you would expect but the getMonth() returns 0-11… definitely not what I expected!!
