A New Year, A New MVP Cycle AND New INETA Speakers!

Thursday, January 1, 2009 10:40 AM

January 1st for many people is simply New Year’s Day. But there are those that continually monitor their inbox waiting anxiously to see if they receive a gift from Santa Ballmer. That gift is a Microsoft MVP award for 2009. There are multiple award cycles and days of renewal, but mine lands on Jan 1st and I’m very honored and pleased to report that I’m once again an MVP for 2009!

But the purpose of this post isn’t to gloat about my MVPness (say it a few times…you’ll get it). There are many that are first time MVP’s or that got renewed. Also, INETA has added new speakers to its speakers bureau and that email seems to have coincided with the MVP mailings.

Below are some of my peeps who I congratulate and celebrate with today (I’m sure there are others, but these are the ones I know from my Twitter feed so far)

Chris Williams – MVP and INETA Speaker

Jason Bock – INETA Speaker

James Avery – Renewed MVP

Bill Ryan – Renewed MVP

Laurent Bugnion – Renewed MVP

Christopher Bennage – MVP

Alan Stevens – MVP

Chris Sutton – MVP

Rachel Appel – INETA Speaker

Wallace B. McClure – Renewed MVP

Keith Elder – INETA Speaker

Steve Andrews – INETA Speaker

Rob Windsor – Renewed MVP and INETA Speaker

Scott Dorman – Renewed MVP

Corey Miller - MVP

Chris Eargle – MVP

Rod Paddock – Renewed MVP

Steve Porter - MVP

Thanks, Darcy... and congrats to you as well! However, I should point out that I'm a first-time MVP. 1/1/2009 12:22 PM | Chris Eargle

Thanks for the shout out although this is my first MVP award. You can announce my renewal next year. ;-)
