Server 2008 – Kill Annoying Shutdown Tracker Dialog (Thanks Rick Strahl!)

Sunday, August 03, 2008 12:37 AM

So for actual servers there might be a reason to log why a shutdown is occurring…but for desktop implementations of Server 2008, it’s annoying as hell. I end up entering a space in the text field to enable the OK button. Wouldn’t it be nice if this annoying dialog just stopped showing up?

Well thanks to Rick Strahl’s recent blog post, that annoying dialog will never see the light of day again.
